So what is Diversity Abroad anyway?

Diversity Abroad's mission is to ensure the next generation of young people from diverse and underserved backgrounds have equitable access to global educational opportunities.

In case any of our followers are not familiar with Diversity Abroad, it is a mission-driven organization focused on advancing diversity and inclusive excellence in international education. It was founded in 2006 by the organization’s current CEO & President, Andrew Gordon.

Diversity Abroad is composed of two sectors: DiversityAbroad.com (for students) and the Diversity Abroad Network (for professionals). DiverityAbroad.com is an online student portal that engages diverse and underrepresented students through online events, international education and career opportunities, campus visits, and a listing of scholarships totaling $396,000.

The Diversity Abroad Team

The Diversity Abroad Network is a professional consortium of over 200 institutional and individual members encompassing educational institutions, government agencies, for-profit, and non-profit organizations. Diversity Abroad advances inclusive policies and practices among its members by offering e-learning courses, regional Diversity & Inclusive Excellence workshops, and the annual Diversity Abroad Conference. The annual conference, the organization's premier event, provides a forum for students and international education professionals to discuss issues of access, diversity, equity, and inclusion in global education. This year’s 6th annual Diversity Abroad Conference will feature over 50 sessions and workshops facilitated by more than 100 presenters, as well as the 4th Annual Global Student Leadership Summit and the 3rd Annual Minority Serving Institution Global Education Summit.
